Everyone is posting about 911 but it is a day that New Yorkers and Americans will never forget. It was my Senior year at Parsons when 9/11 happened. As I was getting ready to head to my Senior Thesis class, I turned on the news to see that a plan crashed into one of the buildings. Not knowing what was happening, I remember talking to my good friend on the phone who was in one of the buildings across the street from the towers. She said  birds were falling out of the sky. Then she realized it was people jumping from the buildings. Our phone call was cut off as she was trying to evacuate but a few days later she was able to get through to me that she was safe. Trying to locate my roommates and friends was not easy but we all found each days later.  A day I will never forget and for the next few months wasn’t easy. Office papers blowing in the wind above us. The smell death and ash was in our home and in the air we breathed in. The streets were filled with fliers of the missing and shrines of the ones who passed. Thousands of lives were lost that day.

Please take a moment to pray for the families of the victims’ lives that were lost that day and to ones’ who survived it.  Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Never Forget 9/11.

I took these pix a few days after at ground zero with my friend Virginia.
